The formula
Commission = Net revenue × Commission rate / 100; Contribution = Revenue × Margin / 100 − Commission − Fees; Commission ceiling = Margin − Target margin − Fees / Revenue × 100.
Worked example
₹2,00,000 revenue at 45% margin, 15% commission, and ₹10,000 fees leaves ₹50,000 (25%). To retain 10%, the commission ceiling is 30%.
